PACT ACT and MAIL BAN Update PACT ACT and MAIL BAN UPDATE
As you
are probably aware, Congress passed the “Preventing Online Sales of
E-Cigarettes to Children Act” in December 2020 which has significant impacts to
online shipping of electronic nicotine delivery systems. The
United States Postal Service has between now and April 27, 2021, to create
its ruling for restricting vape mail. Once USPS has announced its ruling, it
will no longer ship vaping products. To
comply with the PACT Act, Magic Mist has done or is in the process to comply
all regulations and laws. The biggest impact that all customers of Magic Mist
will see would be in the shipping costs, delivery times, Adult signature
requirement on every delivery, and additional Excise taxes (wherever applicable).
It
was announced by UPS and FedEx that they would also be changing their policy to
not ship vaping products. Please note that this is strictly an internal policy
decision by UPS and FedEx; they can legally still carry vaping
products. The
Magic Mist will be working with specialist carriers that can collect the
required adult signature on delivery. Below are the shipping options that
will be available on our site beginning April 26, 2021. Please note that all
shipments will require an adult signature and proof of ID at the point of
delivery. Until Apr’ 26, 2021, following shipping
options are available: USPS 1st Class (4-6 business days) – Signature Required USPS Priority
(3-4 business days) – Signature Required USPS Priority
Express (1-2 business days) – Signature Required Free Ground Shipping (3-6 business days) – Signature Required
(Applicable for orders over $120.00) In addition, most of the orders will have an additional Excise tax based
on the state/county laws. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via email: [email protected] or phone: 844-624-4264. |
